ROS Induction Days

Day 1: The initial day was spent setting up all the hardware, to ensure that it was ready for the project to start smoothly. Ubuntu and windows were installed as well as configuration of some hardware components.

Day 2: The second day started with an introductory lecture on how ROS works, which covered nodes, topics and services. We also looked into some of Robots that were available and went through the bulk of the important tutorials to do with ROS.

Day 3: We spent the final day looking into the pioneer robot and the possibility of putting a camera on top of a Roomba using a Raspberry Pi as a platform. We also installed the drivers for the pioneer and learnt how to use git hub as a source control mechanism.
